Our Grafix Linear Perforation System fits where the smoother bar normally fits. The side brackets are removed and modified ones fitted. Original smoother bars can still be used if necessary, but because the unit is positioned close to the impression cylinders, the back edge of the sheet is still being held by the cylinders and therefore cannot move. This prevents the perforation running off, so the perforation stays perfectly straight at all times.
The perforator head is completely out of the way of the numbering unit, therefore you can number as close to the perforation as you wish.

The Grafix cutting wheels are ground to an increased ultra sharp angle of approximately 22ยบ, this gives the cutting wheel significantly more cutting power and so requires less spring pressure to cut through the stock. In fact the pressure required is less than 1/6 of the normal operating pressures, producing increased cylinder jacket life by around 15 – 20 times longer.
